Recording
Once you’ve opened Love, Ima, you’ll find a large record button on your home screen. Press it once to start, and once more to stop. Your voice is captured in real time.
Take your time. Pauses are part of the message. There is no wrong way to start.
No. Begin with one story. No preparation is needed.Some mothers start with a memory, some with a blessing, some by simply saying “I want you to know something.” Love, Ima will guide you gently if you need a prompt.
Yes. After recording, you can listen back, trim the beginning or end, and review a written summary before sharing. Nothing is sent until you approve it. You can also delete a recording at any time.
Microphone access
When you press record for the first time, your browser will ask permission to use your microphone. Click “Allow.”
If you accidentally clicked “Block,” click the lock icon to the left of the web address, find “Microphone,” and change it to “Allow.” Then refresh the page.
To keep your voice, we need to use your phone's microphone. We only listen while you're recording, and your voice stays private to you.
On iPhone, open the Settings app, scroll down to Safari, then tap “Microphone” and set it to “Allow.” Return to Love, Ima in Safari and try recording again. You may also be asked directly in Safari — tap “Allow” when prompted.
When you press record, Chrome will ask for microphone permission. Tap “Allow.” If you previously denied it, go to Chrome’s settings, then Site Settings → Microphone, and grant permission for Love, Ima. Alternatively, tap the lock icon in the address bar and enable the microphone from there.
For children
Your children can only see what you have explicitly shared with them. They cannot see your other recordings, messages intended for other siblings, or anything you have marked as private. They receive only what you send.
If someone gave you Love, Ima as a gift, you’ll receive an email with a link to get started. Click the link and follow the prompts to set up your account. There’s no rush.
A message is an invitation, never an obligation.
After listening to a message, you’ll see an option to write a short reply. Your response is private — only your mother sees it. You are never required to respond, and there is no notification sent to anyone except your mother when she checks her messages.
Never. Receiving, opening, listening, and responding to messages from your mother is always free. No account is required to listen.
Privacy and security
Yes. Your recordings are stored privately and are never shared without your explicit approval. We do not listen to your recordings, use them to train AI, or share them with anyone.

Open the recording in Love, Ima and use the delete option. Deleted recordings are removed from all delivery systems within 24 hours. If you want to delete your entire account, email us at hello@loveima.com.
