How it works

From gift to first message —
unhurried, warm, hers.

Love, Ima is designed for mothers, not for technology. Every step is gentle. There is no pressure, no deadline, and no requirement to share anything she isn’t ready to share.

  1. A family gives Love, Ima

A child, a spouse, or the whole family purchases Love, Ima as a gift. They write a short, loving invitation in their own words — or use the one we provide.

The mother never needs to ask for this. It comes to her as an expression of love.

  2. She receives a warm invitation

A simple, beautiful message arrives for her — from the family who gave it, in the words they chose. There is no pressure, no deadline, no expectation.

A message is an invitation, never an obligation.

  3. She begins when she's ready

When she opens Love, Ima for the first time, she finds a quiet, simple space. She's guided gently — not rushed. She can record one story, or one blessing, or just explore.

Begin with one story. No preparation is needed.

  4. She records in her own voice

She presses record and speaks. No script, no preparation. Her phone or computer captures every word, every pause, every laugh. The recording is hers alone until she decides otherwise.

Take your time. Pauses are part of the message.

  5. She reviews and approves

She listens back, makes any edits she wants, and sees a gentle summary of what she said. Nothing is shared until she explicitly approves it.

Based on your words. Review before sharing.

  6. She chooses who receives it and when

She can send a message immediately, schedule it for a milestone (a wedding, a graduation, a birthday), or set it as 'Open When' — delivered whenever her child is ready to open it.

  7. Her child receives a sealed message

The message arrives beautifully — a sealed cover showing 'From Ima' and the title she chose. Her child opens it when ready. Some are opened immediately. Some are saved for years.

    "Open when ready"

  8. Her child can write back

After listening, her child can write a private response — a few words, a long letter, whatever feels right. The mother receives a quiet notice that her words were heard.

    "Your words reached them."
